utine follow-up clinics.

Family Planning

Smoking Cessation
We are able to offer smoking cessation remotely to our patients, please enquire with reception
Maternity Care
Antenatal care is shared between the doctors and our local community midwives' team (The Ivy Team). Please make an appointment with your GP as soon as your pregnancy is confirmed.
The community midwives provide antenatal appointments on Friday mornings between 10:20 and 11:40. The doctors will see you for routine antenatal check-ups during normal surgery times.
The Ivy Team can also be contacted directly by telephone on 01223 596 212.
Children's Immunisations
Children's Immunisations are done by our practice nurses. There are set baby clinic appointments which will be sent to you but if the times are inconvenient you can rearrange these.

Travel Vaccinations
We are now able to offer travel advice to our patients, please see Travel Vaccinations for more information. Please note these are temporarily on hold due to COVID (October 2020)
Cervical Smears
Routine cervical smears are performed by the doctors and nurses at 3 year intervals between the ages of 25 and 50 and every 5 years thereafter until 64.
Additional smears may be done if there is a medical reason for them - such as bleeding between periods.
Minor Surgery
We are able to perform operations for a wide variety of minor conditions such as the removal of moles, skin cysts and the treatment of ingrowing toenails.
Usually the doctor who carries out the procedure will wish to see you in advance of the operation. If you feel that you will require minor surgery it is helpful if you discuss this with the receptionist so that they can book you in with the appropriate doctor.
Blood Pressure
The surgery can loan blood pressure machines to patients who have been asked to monitor their blood pressure over the course of a week. Please ask at reception and state if you require a standard or a large cuff machine. You can collect a form for your readings from reception or you can download one here.
Please remember to return the machine when you have finished and let reception have a copy of your readings. This form can also be used with your own blood pressure machine.
